About Us

Alicia Bakers and Confectioners Ltd is an established bread making company. The  success of our business enables us to fulfil our underlying mission: to nourish our neighborhood community with wholesome food and promote their economic independence. It is located and headquartered on the northern shores of Lake Victoria at Got Agulu Sub-location, West Yimbo Location, Bondo Sub-county, Siaya County. It is situated along tarmacked Usenge-Osieko Road; only ninety (90) kilometres west of Kisumu town, the region’s major urban centre. The place is on the national grid. Its location gives it easy access to markets in western part of the country and beyond. This enables its products to be delivered fresh to its customers every morning for a healthy start of the day.

Staged on a 6 acre piece of land, the space includes a state-of-the-art plant to prepare a wide range of fresh baked goods and wholesome foods, all made from scratch.

The company started its operations in November 2009. It produces the well known range of high-quality wheat products under the famous Lakeland Brand. The bakery is rural based. It is well known among the people of Bondo Sub County in particular and the entire Western Kenya in general, whose needs it has been serving for the past four years. The company bakes several types of tin bread to cater for the changing tastes of it expanding market.

Alicia Bakery has a commitment to quality because it understands the central place of bread and confectionary products on modern breakfast tables. Its range of products caters for diverse tastes, all packaged in different sizes to accommodate the exact needs of different families and occasions.

Lakeland products are baked under the highest hygiene standards in the semi automated bakery. It strives to observe the best industry practices and legal procedures to ensure that it offers world-class products and services to its customers. In the process of manufacturing and selling the bakery’s products, the company is always guided by the customers’ needs. When a customer buys products with the Lakeland label, he or she is buying high quality and nutritional value. Lakeland products aim to provide the customer with the energy he needs to kick start his day. Always remember that the company takes great care in delivering a wholesome product to make breakfast a complete experience.

Alicia Bakers & Confectioners Ltd is Financially Strong and “Built to Last.”

ALICIA SAVINGS & CREDIT COOPERATIVE SOCIETY (SACCO)

All Alicia Bakery members of staff interested in the cooperative movement are part of the recognized Alicia Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (Sacco).

The SACCO gives loans to members, and will participate in supporting various initiatives of the company once it matures.

The SACCO will first start looking after the environment by planting and taking care of trees inside and outside the bakery compound. In addition, it will make donations to various needy people in conjunction with Alicia Bakery.
